THE REVEREND CATHY TOWNLEY is a worship specialist, focusing as a coach and consultant in new starts and existing churches.
In addition to her free-lance work, Cathy coaches numerous new start projects in Minnesota and the Dakotas, her home Conference and Episcopal area. She has started worship services and churches and loves to coach new start and turn around projects of any kind. She has extensive experience in the Healthy Church Initiative (HCI), and she has worked alongside Jim Griffith – Griffith Coaching Network; Martha Grace Reese — The Unbinding the Gospel Project; and the Center for Progressive Renewal in Atlanta Georgia.
Cathy’s newest project is Building Worship Bridges (BWB), book and workbook, which she co-authored with Congregational Development Director Kay Kotan, Susquehanna District, and Bishop Robert Farr, of the Missouri Annual Conference. Out of BWB has come a few different training opportunities for churches including how to develop competent and compelling worship services in any church, and how to lead worship transformationally with passion and skill.
Cathy has also cowritten and produced MULTIPLY, with Congregational Development Director Ben Ingebretson, MN-DAK. MULTIPLY helps churches start new worship services. Cathy is the primary coach for this project that is now used in Michigan and Wisconsin as well as Minnesota and the Dakotas.
